Parent University: Exploring Our Digital Learning Tools

Wednesday, January 28 | 7:00 PM
Location: Martin Avenue School
Join us for a Parent University workshop highlighting the digital tools your child uses to support learning across grade levels. Our educators will guide parents through the platforms, showing how students access them, what they are used for, and how families can support learning at home.  See attached flyers--particularly the workshop descriptions to inform your workshop selections!

Our talented educators will lead interactive mini-sessions on the following platforms:
  • LitLab
  • Google Classroom
  • i-Ready
  • Destiny Discover & TeachingBooks.net
  • World Book & PebbleGo
  • BrainPOP
  • Typing Agent & News-O-Matic
  • enVision Math & First in Math

Workshop Format

  • Parents will select three mini-workshops to attend from a menu of eight offerings.
  • Each mini-workshop will run approximately 20 minutes.
  • Sessions will focus on:
    • What the platform is used for
    • How students access and navigate it
    • The types of resources available (games, assignments, videos, practice tools, etc.)
    • Ways families can support learning at home

We look forward to partnering with families to support student learning and strengthen the home–school connection through these digital resources!
