“Whether you want to uncover the secrets of the universe, or you just want to pursue a career in the 21st century, basic computer programming is an essential skill to learn.”
–Stephen Hawking
Our new computer science and robotics program provides students with basic programming and robotics skills. Our program promotes STEAM, inquiry-based learning, higher-level thinking, collaboration, creativity, persistence and perseverance. Computer Science is proven to prepare students for college and career-readiness and the opportunity to develop real-life problem solving and 21st century skills.
Some of the fun and exciting robots the students will use this year include BeeBots, Cubelets, Dash & Dot, Ozobots, Spheros, and Lego Spike. Computer Science classes in grades 4-6 meet once per cycle. Students in grades K-3 will participate in coding and computer science lessons throughout the year!
