North Bellmore School District

Inspiring Confident, Passionate Learners

About Our Schools

About Our Schools

Five neighborhood elementary schools make up the North Bellmore School District—John G. Dinkelmeyer School, Martin Avenue School, Newbridge Road School, Park Avenue School, and Saw Mill Road School. Together, they provide welcoming, child-centered learning environments where every student is known, valued, and encouraged to thrive.

At North Bellmore, we believe every child has unique strengths, talents, and the ability to make a meaningful difference. Our schools are dedicated to creating engaging learning experiences that inspire students to think critically, solve problems creatively, collaborate with others, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

We are equally committed to intentionally creating opportunities for students to lead within their classrooms, schools, and throughout the district. Whether serving on student leadership teams, participating in service-learning projects, sharing ideas that help shape their school communities, or taking initiative in everyday learning, our students are empowered to use their voices, make meaningful contributions, and know that their ideas matter. These experiences build confidence, resilience, empathy, and the leadership skills that prepare students for success both in school and beyond.

Guided by New York State's Portrait of a Graduate, we intentionally cultivate learners who are academically prepared and equipped to become creative problem-solvers, critical thinkers, effective communicators, reflective learners, engaged global citizens, and future-focused leaders. These qualities are developed each day through meaningful instruction, authentic learning experiences, and opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and leadership.

The strength of our district lies in the partnership among the Board of Education, administration, faculty, staff, parents, and community members. Together, we create safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments where every child is challenged, inspired, and empowered to reach their full potential. Preparing students for the future is a shared responsibility, and we are grateful for the continued partnership and support of our families and community.

As students complete their elementary years in the North Bellmore School District, they continue their educational journey in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District. We are proud to prepare our graduates not only for success in middle and high school, but for lives of learning, leadership, and service. Together, we look forward to another exceptional school year as we inspire every North Bellmore student to learn with curiosity, lead with confidence, and make a positive impact in their school, their community, and the world.
