Students Illustrate Their Park Avenue Pride in Poster Contest

The annual poster contest at Park Avenue Elementary School was again a huge success, with 90 students submitting entries. The winning posters have been frames and will grace the school’s hallways for the next year.
Students could create a poster that illustrated one of three themes:
P.A.R.K. Pride – A reminder that students at Park Avenue strive to be Positive, to maintain a hard-working Attitude and are Respectful to others and Kind.
Fuel Our Ride with Positive Energy – Powering each school day with optimism, kindness and good vibes. The students of Park Avenue choose positive energy to overcome challenges and make their journey together awesome.
Portrait of a Graduate – New York State’s vision of what every student should strive to be: someone who is kind and understands others, works hard at learning, thinks in creative ways, solves problems, shares ideas, thinks about what they do and helps make the world a better place.
There were 16 winners, as well as 13 runners-up. Principal Dr. Lynn Coyle announced the winning students during a schoolwide assembly.
