District Names New Assistant Superintendent for Business

The North Bellmore School District announces the appointment of Brigid Siena as the new assistant superintendent for business. Ms. Siena officially joins the elementary district on Feb. 23.
An experienced business official, she has served as the assistant superintendent for business and operations in the Hauppauge School District since 2021, overseeing the annual operating budget and numerous business functions including buildings and grounds, food service, payroll and benefits, purchasing and transportation. Ms. Siena has also held positions as assistant superintendent for business and operations in the Connetquot School District, assistant business administrator and deputy purchasing agent in the Hempstead School District, and district clerk in Hauppauge.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business form SUNY Potsdam, a master’s degree in education from LIU Post and a school district business leader certificate. Ms. Siena is the recipient of the 2019 School New School Business Official Leader of the Year Award from the Association of School Business Officials New York and the 2019 Frank Fiumano Scholarship Fund from the Nassau Association of School Business Officials.
“I’m pleased to be joining the North Bellmore School District and working with the Board of Education, administration, staff and community,” Ms. Siena said. “I look forward to getting to know the district and supporting the financial and operational work that keeps schools running well and focused on students. I’m bringing my experience in school finance, operations and long-term planning to support that work.”
