Terminal services allows a user to connect to a virtual desktop and retrieve their school's directory (i.e., My Documents), as well as many of the software applications used in the classroom. North Bellmore is utilizing Windows Remote Desktop Client (RDC) as a delivery platform so that educational applications can be securely delivered to our staff over the Internet. Whether you are at home or sitting in an Internet café, RDC offers a simple to use and secure interface for application delivery. All that is required is a PC and an Internet connection. Applications can be run seamlesly via this connection and files created can be saved into your school's directory for later retrieval in the classroom, or printed and saved at home.
In order to make the connection you need to first configure the Windows Remote Desktop Client on your home computer. Please follow the steps in the Outlook Web Access Public Folder.
NOTE: Due to the fact that North Bellmore requires encryption encoded RDC, Mac (Apple)Platforms that have RDC cannot be used. |
