Third grade students
studied the traditional painting genre
of still life. We used non-
traditional subject matter, a variety of stuffed animals. Students began by creating a drawing, and
then spent a few weeks painting their subject. |

When they completed the
main subjects, they concentrated on designing a background, and adding
finishing touches to their paintings. |
