School Parking and Student Safety
The following procedures are put in place and will be enforced to ensure the safety of our children.
Front Circle:
Before 9:00 a.m. this area is restricted to drop-off only. Cars may not be left unattended during this time. Parking is available on Saw Mill Road, Pea Pond Road and the rear parking lot in marked spots only. Parking is permitted in the front circle between 9:00 a. m. and 2:00 p.m. *Please note: No parking is ever permitted in the Fire Zone indicated by the yellow lines.
Rear Parking Lot:
Parking is permitted both in the morning and afternoon in marked spaces only. Cars are not permitted in the inner circle. Please do not block the garages, driveways or parking lot at any time.
Kindly keep the safety of our children in mind by driving slowly and yielding to all pedestrians.

School Dress Code
In accordance with the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education Act, please be aware of the North Bellmore School District’s Dress Code.
All students are expected to dress appropriately for school and school functions.
· Our dress, grooming and appearance will be appropriate and not disrupt or interfere with our education or the education of others.
· We wear shoes that are safe to wear to school. Flip-flops and high heels are not safe in school.
· We do not wear hats in the classroom, except for a medical or religious purpose.
· We do not wear clothes with pictures or sayings on them that promote the use of alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs and other illegal or violent activities.
· We do not wear clothes that say things on them that hurt other people because of their race, color, religion, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
· Our underwear is completely covered with outer clothing
· We do not wear skimpy clothes such as tube tops, net tops, halter-tops, spaghetti straps, plunging necklines and see-through garments.
Our focus is to maintain an educational environment with student success clearly at the center. We are proud of the positive educational environment we have created, and ask for your help and cooperation to maintain it.
